I live in Long Island and was wondering if you thought October was too soon for a 2 year old to be wearing cordouroy pants? I hate to buy light weight pants and have him only wear them for one or two months. If he wears the cords once the weather gets cooler he will get more mileage.

    I definitely don't think October is too soon for cords. My kids will probably start wearing them in September but we live much farther north than Long Island.

    I would definitely dress my son in them as soon as the weather is appropriate (so probably September).

    Same here! Hell, my DH has been known to wear cords on a summer night! LOL

    cords = fine in Oct.  Sept would likely be too warm, but Oct = fine, weather wise, and style wise :)
    I used to be Goldie_locks_5 but the new nest is so screwed up that I was forced to start over.
