I know deli meat is not supposed to be eaten. This may be a dumb question, so I don't need anyone to point it out please haha. But can I eat Arby's roast beef or is that just the same concept as deli meat?

MMMMMMM....beef n cheddar.....with Arby sauce AND horsey sauce!!!!! I know what i'm having for dinner!!!!! PLUS it might help with the constipation I've been having!
1) it's hot, so if you're avoiding deli meat for the listeria risk, go for it. If you don't want the nitrates, well, stop being so paranoid.
2) I'm about to cry because I am not allowed to get up and drive to the nearest Arby's and get a beef and cheddar, curly fries, jamocha shake and 8, yes I said 8, mozzarella sticks with ranch. DH hates me and the baby apparently.
I remember there was an undercover investigation by Dateline or one of those shows and Arby's was shown to be one of the dirtiest fast food chains out there. The meat was not kept at consistent temps in MOST of the restaurants they went to. This was years ago I saw the study, but still remember that.
I was assistant manager in an Arby's for a while, and while the beff was roasted to the right temp, the beef mostly sits on the deli slicer for hours. There is a red heat lamp to keep it warm, but I never once saw my cooks check the temp throughout the day.
I say if you go during peak business hours (lunch and earlyish dinner), you are more likely to get the freshest and up-to-temp slices on your sandwich. Any other meats they serve (chicken, pastrami, ham, etc. depending on their specials) are heated in a microwave as they are ordered.
I hd Arby's yesterday and it tasted like sh*t and they gave me the wrong fries. Really disappointing. I don't think I'm gonna be craving that anytime soon.

Re: Can I eat Arby's roast beef??
I read your subject line and thought it was funny because this question was answered in the FAQ's for this board...
Can I eat an Arby's roast beef sandwich? YES. And, while you are at it, bring us all one too.
Have at it! I wonder if this is a potential popular craving...
thanks for the answers!!

Priss28King is wise.--"Lurky, you are so mean... but always so on point!"
Perfect! I think this may be my dinner!
No, but having 3 tickers will make your baby be born with a tail.
I definitely don't consider it "meat"
me too. If you are okay with eating deli meat, have at it. If you're trying to avoid deli meat, then don't eat it.

I vote no, because it is nasty.
