I would love to make it. we dont have a breadmaker. How do you suggest starting?
Also, how do you store your bread? (store bought or home made) I was reading that a bread box is the "best" way to help it last longer. I dont really feel like buying a special box for bread. Can it be any box that closes? Do you leave the wrap on it if store bought or put wrap on it if home made?
I realize I could google and find the answers to this... i thought that since we want more activity... I would just post cuz I am LAZY.
Re: bread
I suggest you start with the no-knead recipe--it's easy peasy. And then you bake it in a dutch oven, or other big pot, and it's so good it rarely lasts more than a day anyhow. After that use it for croutons, bread crumbs, etc.
I always just leave the cut side down. But my loaves are crusty--perhaps with soft breads it's not such a good idea.
I use the king arthur 100% whole wheat bread recipe which is excellent...but I bake it in the oven so I'm not sure how that would translate to your bread maker.
I just use a ziploc bag and store it in the fridge. We go through one loaf a week.
dont have a bread maker, so oven is perfect!
thanks. im going to borders after work to see if they have it!
This is a great starter recipe: https://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=5716.0
But now that I've made a ton of bread, I just want to let it all go stale so I can make this: https://vegan.com/recipes/vegancom-top-10-recipes-of-2008/banana-chocolate-chip-bread-pudding-vegancom-top-10-recipe-2008/
