While I am excited for football myself, GO HUSKIES!!!!, I am not so pumped about being left alone on all home game Saturdays now. GO HUSKIES!!!!!
Anyone else a football widow? DH wants me to come to a couple games this year, but I am not so psyched about spending another day away from K just to watch DH and his friends drink, scream and sit in a parking lot for four plus hours before the game. GO HUSKIES!!!!!! So much for catching up on all the little side projects we need to finish this fall.
Oh, and by the way, GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!
Re: Football widows?
I just wanted to say GO COUGS!!
I am a Jeep widow, so I can slightly relate. My sister is a football fan (GO CHARGERS!!!) and as part of our agreement before she moved to Seattle, I am giving football a chance. N and I have our Chargers shirts, I make some mean lil? smokies and there is plenty of beer. I draw the line at paying for NFL ticket. Our parents are moving here and my dad has promised to add it to his cable package.
DirecTV is offering it FREE right now to new customers! And their prices were less than half of Comcast! We have been very happy we made the switch!
We used to have Seahawks tickets and sometimes, even though the drive was an hour, I'd tell DH I'd meet him at the game. I had fun at the games, getting up at 7am to go sit and drink in the parking lot with his friends (when you're pregnant) does not sound like fun.
Bring her with you! We bring Max to at least 3 Husky games per season and he LOVES them. I think he likes the tailgating more than the game. There are tons of kids running around too. I know that it's going to be a The Clink this year, so tailgating may be way different, but we always have a blast with Max, and we switch off who watches him.

I LOVE football season! So I don't feel too much like a widow but I do know that our schedule gets centered around games sometimes! We don't have the NFL ticket but we do have the Red Zone channel. Last season I didn't mind the extra lounging around time since I was pregnant and then A was so little but this year could be interesting since he is on the move!
We usually try to do a Seahawks or a Husky game once a year. I have been pretty lucky through my work and we've been able to sit in our Seahawks Red Zone suite a couple times and on the 50 yard line 25 rows up for Husky games. Hopefully I'll snag some tickets again this year!
I too am excited for football... GO HUSKIES! We have the opposite problem here in our house since I'm the sports fan, but thankfully my husband works on the weekends. I spend Saturday cheering GO HUSKIES and Sunday cheering GO SEAHAWKS along with my son who just cheers TOUCHDOWN! I have season tickets to the Seahawks and go to a couple Husky games too. I'm so excited for Saturday... GO HUSKIES!!!

I knew there was a reason we got along so well & had such similar taste in pretty much everything. GO DAWGS!!

I'm a full weekend football widow. DH is into both NFL (GO SEAHAWKS!!!) and college ball (GO HUSKIES!!!). Though, he's not a Husky fan... he's Wildcat.
I definitely do start to get irritated with how much time football takes up, and he's not even going to the games!
GOOOOOO HUSKIES!!!
