I saw on The Today Show this morning that some pediatricians are refusing to treat children who are not vaccinated after a 7 week old baby contracted pertussis from the waiting room from a non-vaccinated child (linke: https://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/44356327/ns/today-today_health/t/no-shot-no-doc-pediatricians-refuse-unvaccinated-kids/).
Here is another link to an article from a UK newspaper that also features a similar story: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1363612/Vaccinate-child-doctor-U-S-medical-practitioner-tells-parents.html
I just find this interesting because I am writing an essay on vaccinating children for an assignment this week, so perfect timing for me I guess.
I can see the pros and the cons to this decision, and as always, this is a hot issue. Anyway, just thought I'd share the news. Feel free to discuss!
Eta: Link to original article; story featured on "Today Show", not "USA Today" as I originally thought.
Eta 2: I originally typed that the baby died because I didn't read the article thoroughly. The baby is a healthy 7 year old girl today

The baby was in the hospital for two weeks, and luckily, is a healthy 7 year old now
This could have turned out so much worse though!
Your OP says the baby passed away.
So it does, lol! Sorry about that! For the record, the little girl is healthy! I blame 'baby brain'.
What vaccines did they require at birth? DD didn't have any vaccinations in the hospital because we chose to postpone the first Hep B shot until her one month appointment, but that was the only one they would have given.
