Need recs for Ft. Lauderdale OBGYN

Hello Ladies,

I recently moved to Ft. Lauderdale from Miami. I had an excellent doc in Miami (Kendall), but now that we're TTC, I need to find one in Ft. Lauderdale. I live near Broward General Hospital. I'm sad that I need to find a new doc. I wish I could keep the same doc since I've been with him for a long time and have some special circumstances, but he's too far for me to go there regularly, and I have no doubt that I can find another good doctor in my area. Can anyone recommend a doctor? I prefer that he/she be affiliated with Broward General or Holy Cross Hospital.

TIA!

  • If you liked that group, why not stay? I was on a similar situation... My OB is on Boca and we moved to Miami. I stayed with the group and even had to babies with them. It did take about an hour to get to my appts, but it worked out! I know a bunch at Holy Cross and like Adeboyjoe

  • Hi Mary!

I recommend Dr. Fahey who has an office at Broward General. She is wonderful, easy to talk to, and was recommended by a friend's mom who works in the NICU there as the best OBGYN she knows! I was also glad she was covered by my insurance. I live pretty close to the hospital so it's nice for monthly visits and I feel comfortable knowing the hospital a little more for when the time comes in September.

    HTH! :)

  • Ghea Adeboyejo 954.229.6000 she's with Holy Cross Medical Group (there are 6 or so other Dr's there)  Her office is located right next to Holy Cross Hospital and she only delivers there.  The appointments are timely and the office is large, clean, comfortable.  They don't have a pediatrics department at Holy Cross so you will need to find a pediatrician before delivery to check out baby but she gives you a list to go off of.  I just found my pediatrician today, finally.  Holy Cross offers prenatal courses for you also.

Anyways, I live 2 minutes from BGMC and it takes me 15 minutes to get to the obgyn and 10 to get to the pediatrician I chose.
