sparkling water okay for 2 yo?

Strange one I know but is sparkling water okay to give a 2 year old? My son keeps asking for it today so I have given him a few ounces, just want to see if there's a consensus on this.

  • I joke with DH that "You know you live in Lakeview when your kid drinks pellegrino".  DS loves it and I have a tough time getting him to drink water unless he is super parched I think Its ok, because when I was pregnant I had an aversion to water, and they cleared me to drink club soda and mineral water as long as it was low sodium.

  • I let my DD have sips of my La Croix water sometimes. I also let her try Pellagrino, but she doesn't like it.

But I wouldn't let her have the sparkling water with aspartame in it. I know the Target and Wal-Mart brands have that in it.

  • He gets a glass with dinner almost every night.
  • Thanks ladies! It's Pellegrino. He drinks a lot of water and milk but some days he wants some variety I guess.  I think it's the fizzing sound he likes. :)

  • FI and I drink Sparkling water with dinner almost every night.  LO always asks for it and we usually end up mixing it in with his juice-1/2 juice, 1/2 sparkling water.  He loves the bubbles.
