bathwater and stuffed animals

2 separate topics, but I'm not feeling like posting twice.

1- what are your feelings on letting LO practice cup drinking while in the bath?

2- Simon had been fighting going to sleep for close to an hour, screaming and the whole nine-yards. Joshua hands him a stuffed animal and he lays right down and goes to bed. WTF? Arg!

1- what are your feelings on letting LO practice cup drinking while in the bath? With bathwater or you'd give regular water? I wouldn't use bathwater but JT certainly drinks enough of it when he sticks his rubber duckies in his mouth while in the bath.

Glad he's joining my family...JT fought sleep big time last night, I could have used Joshua's assistance. But in all seriousness, that's amazing. I wouldn't think twice about allowing him to sleep with it at this age (as long as it's not one of those huge carnival ones that are the size of the crib!)

ETA: and here I am thinking you want to bring stuffed animals in the bath with Simon!

  • LOL! I had never thought to even offer him a stuffed animal, but it doesn't bother me at this point. It's very small so no smothering or anything.

  • Lol! I love how kids just have it all figured out! Go Joshua. The stuffy is a cute idea.

I would totally let my LO drink from a cup in the bathtub..just not bathwater...lol.

  • No problem with cup in the tub, but definitely not bath water. DS is in a "peeing in the tub" phase (I just spelled it faze, and had to look at it forever to remember how to spell it correctly)

  • I do not give cups while my LOs are in the tub.  Primarily because I don't want them to start to think it's ok to drink bath water.  They pee in the tub and their nasty dirt is all in their.  I have enough time keep the toys and towels out of their mouths.  I don't need them dipping the cup in there too.

  • 1 - Meh.  I only give her water in cups so what's the worst that could happen, kwim?

2 - Does Simon have a lovey yet?  Because if not this is your sign he wants one, heh.

  • I totally thought by the title that you were going to ask if it's okay to have stuffed toys in the bath...and I was giving you quite a look.  LOL!
