I was at NYP this morning and was totally thinking about you guys. That hospital brings back some crazy memories.

EEK, I'm so excited to be meeting some new SAIF babies!!!

Btw, nobody better be having any babies from Sept 30 to Oct 6th since I"m on vacation that week (Disney World with the boys!).

you had a dr appt on your birthday?! i hope it was for something good when is your transfer?

i will be 37 weeks when you leave for disney! i would be so happy to make it that far!

genc won't make me go past oct 7 (38w). so i can't promise these babies won't arrive while you're gone, but if they do you MUST visit us here (NJ)!

Sounds like a fun vacation!

After I have him you have to come here to visit - I'm so close to your office!

ok, so here's a little secret that they NEVER tell you, When they say "I won't make you go past 38wks" it means that they won't let you hit 39wks, not that they'll schedule you for 37w and x days. So most likely, if you make it, you will be giving birth the week after I come back.

For me, the 38week mark was July 31st last year. So I was counting down to that day... when they scheduled me for Aug 4th, I was in TEARS. Luckily the boys got the memo and came on their own.

Just wanted you to mentally prepare yourself... cuz I wasn't.

Yeah, I was there... I totally cried on the phone.

You can actually figure out what date they'll schedule you for. There is only 2 days that Dr. G will be "on call" and those are the days they'll schedule you for. Dr. S. used to be on Mondays and Wednesdays so my c/s was scheduled for a Wed afternoon.

It's normally the same days that you have your appts on.

So basically if you go into labor when your Dr. isn't on call one of the other Dr.s will deliver you? Dr. K said they "try" to deliver their own patients.

This - so what this really means is that if you are being induced/scheduled c/s then you'll definitely get your doc, but if you go into labor on your own, you are at the mercy of the rotation.

FWIW, I did go into labor on my own and I ended up with my doc anyway... so it could happen.

Btw, I'm praying that neither of you get the weird old guy, he's the only one I don't like in the practice.
