I'm 42 years young! Was still breastfeeding #1 when tested positive a couple of months back. I was even told a few years ago that my ovarian reserve was poor and that I'd likely have to see a fertility specialist if we wanted start a family.
Im 36 and will be 37 a few weeks before delivery also! I am really happy aboout being a 1st mommy at this age because for me I think I am mentally ready in a way that I was not before.
I barely miss the cutoff, I'll be 34 in a few weeks. That term drives me up a wall and every one of my friends that were over 35 when they delivered said that their OB's were rude about their age and made them feel bad. Just mean.
I'll be 36 in November. My doc is so far treating me as a normal pregnancy. He advised that I do the bloodwork and u/s but supports my decision to not do the amnio. Right now I'm doing the testing so that I can get another u/s but I don't plan on doing any of the more invasive testing.
I will be 36 in October so count me in. We had our genetic counseling appointment last week and are going to do a sequential screening before we decide if we want any of the invasive tests.
I'll be 37 in October. At this point, my OB hasn't said anything would be different than a "younger" pregnancy, but it's still early so that could always change. We aren't planning on doing any invasive testing because of the slight risks involved.
I am 35 and will turn 36 in April. The only testing I plan on doing is blood work and the NT scan. Just for my sanity.
I was pregnant last year and my NT scan results came back with a very young "age". My doctor was very impressed. Hopefully this one will go just as well.

I turn 35 in December. I specifically asked my doctor how this pregnancy would be different than my last because of my "advanced maternal age" and she said they wouldn't treat me any differently.
I turn 35 in February, so yes. I don't think I'm going for CVS, I think I'll do the nuchal (sp?) fold test, see how that's looking and then go from there.
Sucks to be told I'm over the hill, as if I needed more reminders besides my gray hairs. lol!
I'm 34 now but I will be 35 when LO is born so yes, I'm in the AMA category. It sucks because my doctor recommends extra tests that I really don't want to take. The amnio being one in particular that I'm going to have to seriously consider before going through with. I'm going to see how the NT scan and quad screen go before we consider that decision.

I am 38 now and am due 2 weeks before my 39th bday. I would rather have had a baby younger, but it took me a while to find Mr. Right. I'm really not too concerned about it though. I know from going through the IVF that my ovaries are in great shape and as productive as someone much younger, so I assume that my eggs (and therefore the baby) are fine.
In the NYC area people tend to have babies later so I have three friends that are pregnant and due in the next 2 months; 2 of them are 40 and 1 is 41. All testing shows that they can expect a healthy baby. And the 41 YO is still smoking and occasionally drinking. Which I think is crazy, but whatever.
I haven't met with my OB yet but my inclination is to not go with the amnio unless something doesn't look right with the NT scan.

I will be 39 in october. I had my daughter when I was 36. I'd much prefer to be having babies now than 10 years ago. I am such a better mom for having a little more time and experience under my belt. Not to say there aren't excellent "younger" moms but for me, it's better this way.
We did the NT scan with our first and will do it again this time. I would probably not do the cvs or amnio unless there was something concerning about the nt.

I will be 37 in October, my doctor has not said any rude comments, he only said that we have more testing options. Me an DH are on the fence about the NT scan. I am definetly not willing to do the CVS or amino, but that is my personal preference.
I am 39, and will be 40 when I deliver this baby next April--thus far, my doctor has recommended the genetic screen (for CF and other diseases) and the sequential screen (NT scan, etc....). He does not recommend doing the CVS or amnio unless (a) I am the type that needs to prepare for a special needs child or (b) I would make the decision to terminate if the child had conditions/diseases and so forth...
Prior to my first miscarriage, I was pro-amnio, but now, I think I am going to do all the non-invasive screenings. As long as my numbers come back as low-risk or normal, I'll skip the amnio, but that is just me!!!
Hooray for all of us older moms!!!

ME! and can i just say how much i hate the term "Advanced Maternal Age". Im 37 and will be 38 when i deliver. I have signed up for all the testing...i figure i will take it one test at a time...So glad this was posted...i was beginning to think i was the only AMA in April
Re: Anyone else in the "advanced maternal age" category?
omg. I'm so old that I had to stop and remember how old I am. And then I forgot again.
36 and will just turn 37 when I deliver.
Anyone doing CVS or Amnio? I have an appt for CVS 9/23
