No poo peeps

I've been using baking soda and ACV for about a month now and definitely noticed my hair getting lighter in color, probably from the baking soda. Not that I mind though. I wash my hair every 2 or 3 days. I have dark blond hair and I've never colored my hair. Anyone notice the same thing?

  • As a (former) hairdresser I can't think of a scientific reason either product would be lightening your hair.  The best I can come up with is that it is removing mineral buildup that can possibly make your hair look darker, especially if you are blonde.  Maybe your natural color is lighter than what you have always thought?

  • It's not that baking soda lightens hair, it's because your hair no longer has junk on it so it is back to it's "real" color. :)
