Hello ladies! Can you believe it?s the last day of August? My, how the summer has flown. How have you all been this week?
School has officially started around here which means the county fairs have, too. I live in town now, but I grew up in the country, and every year I feel like I?m getting back to my roots when we make the rounds to all of the fairs. I love seeing all of the animals, crafts, baked goods and vegetable displays, and of course all of the amazingly bad for you deep fried food. There?s nothing like a day in the country!
I?m on 4dpo today and feeling good. I say that every cycle, though! I decided the other day that whether I get a BFP or AF next week I?m going to give my doctor a call. If AF comes I think I want to start looking into testing for my short LP. I?ve just felt lately that it?s time to take the next step.
Lavril, How is your vacation going? I hope you?re getting that tan!
Baroo, I?m so sorry to hear about your DH?s SA. You two are in my T&P ((Big Hugs))

I haven't been around in ages... it's been kind a crazy summer! We had some of H's extended family from Italy visit for the last 3 weeks, they just left on Friday... that was interesting! Needless to say our timing was crappy and I wasn't able to temp consistently, so I counted myself out early last cycle.
I can't get the thought out of my head that if I can get a BFP before my November cycle, then maybe I'll be blessed with a baby in my arms before my EDD comes around again next July
BarooGirl - I just read your post about your H's SA. I am so sorry for what you are going through. Huge hugs and T&P to you and your DH.
I missed Corndog and LDW's BFPs!! Congrats to you both!!!

KJ's babe - FX for you this cycle!!! And I love our local fairs too... we live in a small town and there is always loads of stuff to do all around our region this time of year. It gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling

Rizzo - welcome back! I hope now things can go back to normal for you now that the family visit is over. Sounds like an exciting time though!
Baroo - big giant squishy (((((HUGS)))) girl! I know it must be overwhelming, but from what others say, it sounds like there are some things docs can do to help. I'll keep you and your DH in my T&P. It must be so difficult for him to hear that kind of news.
Hows everyone else doing?
As for me, I'm enjoying my time away. It's nice to just relax on the beach and not worry about everything! I'm definitely working on my tan!
My niece is also here (4yr old) and it's making me want that BFP even more! While I love spending time with her - I keep thinking she should have a cousin to play with right now
I'm trying not to think that way, but it's hard sometimes. I still haven't O'ed yet - I really really thought I was last weekend b/c of the amount of ewcm, but still no temp rise? It's totally strange. I also didn't bring any opks, so who knows what's happening. I have an appt w/ my OB next Thurs and we're going to discuss where to go from here. She mentioned putting me on Metformin in Sept last time I saw her (couple months ago). I'm ready for this long cycle thing to change! So far acupuncture hasn't done a thing....
I'm off....it's beach time!

I agree! This long cycle thing of yours has to change! I hope your doctor can help shorten them up. It must be so frustrating for you.

Hi ladies!
I'm having a bit of a rough day/week. The fi works out of town and is gone for two to three months at a time. For the 3 months he was gone earlier in the year, my cycles were perfect. O'ed on the same day, same LP, same cycle length...everything was identical. He's been home the last two months and I don't think I O'ed either month. I didn't start my OPK's until CD 15 in June since I O'ed on CD 17 the 3 months before that, but never got a +. Then last month, I started OPK's on CD 11 and tested until CD 18 and never got a +. I'm now on CD 4 and guess who's leaving for work for at least two months on Monday? I'm just so frustrated....it seems like my cycles go perfectly when he's gone and then go to crap when he's here. It also seems like everyone around me is pregnant or having babies and it's been pretty hard on me.
I'm sure it doesn't help that we just passed the 9 month anniversary of my dad's death and the 9 month anniversary of the day I found out for sure that I lost the baby. Plus my mom and I went to the funeral of a friend of my dad's who had the same illness my dad did and the funeral was in the same church my dad's was in...brought back all the memories of the last time I was in that church so I'm pretty emotional today on top of my period hormones.
*sigh*
I hope everyone else is having a better week then I am.

Me - Sorry I've been spotty MIA - we were gone thurs - sun and then these last couple days I just needed to get out of the house. I'm doing good so far, just trying to get through each day/week til our next appt. next Wed. at 8wk. I'm trying to keep thinking positive thoughts that this is our baby. I'm feeling ok, a bit nausea in the morning before breakfast and bit afternoon and then dinner, nothing sounds good - different then last time, so I will take it. DH did piss me off the other day, but I'm over it now.

Thank you all for the hugs, I needed them. Although I keep feeling more positive as the days goes by. I found out lastnight that DH took a long hot bleach bath a day or 2 before his SA. I am hoping that that is what caused the poor results. I am getting ready to O- and we are still humping away --I only need one good sperm
I read that it takes a week to recover after a hottub dip, so I am keeping that in my head.
Sorry it took me a bit to post on our check in. I have been in a funky mood- but getting better.
