How do your other children deal with the pregnancy?

I am just wondering because my DD just won't stop talking about her "baby sister" as she says, she is obsessed with the u/s pictures and won't give them up, she keeps rubbing my belly and "talking" to the baby, don't get me wrong it is SO damn cute but is it normal for kids to be this excited about a sibling? I just have never seen a kid so stoked about it, how are your other children reacting to it??

How old is your DD? Mine just turned 2 and she alternates between telling me she doesn't want a brother or sister (with a really upset voice) and telling me she's excited to be a big sister. I think the reality is that she has no clue what she's talking about in either case, but she is young.

I don't have any other children, but my 3 year old niece is constantly asking me when she can play with my baby. Everytime she sees me she asks if she can hold my baby, lol. My sister said she asks her about it everyday.

My DS will talk about baby when someone asks him about it and he will randomly lift up my shirt (he thinks he is closer to baby lol) he will put his hands on my belly and talk to the baby and then he'll put my shirt back down and tell the baby night-night. He's just over 2 1/2 so I think he understands a little bit. I dont think he'll even fully understand once baby is here, its fun that he is involved with baby though.

my 3 year old doesnt care lol my 4 year old is excited, but only when i mention it. my 16mo old doesnt know whats going on. they are used to me pregnant

DS seems happy about it when we bring it up. Right now he just wants to talk about the baby growing. Me: "what should we name the baby?" Ben: "Not yet! It has to grow!"

At first he asked to see/hold it, but I think he knows he needs to wait for it to get bigger until it can come out. He alternates between wanting a brother or sister. But he's not touching my belly or talking TO the baby, at all.
