Success after IF

Anyone see a naturopath instead of RE?

I used to post a lot but have been MIA for a couple of years.  My DH and I went to see an RE and weren't totally comfortable with the suggestions.  We pursued adoption instead and have a beautiful DS who is at that perfect age for a sib.  Now we're waiting for our appointments with the naturopath to see what advice we get and I'm curious about other people's experiences.

TIA

Re: Anyone see a naturopath instead of RE?

  • I was seeing them simultaneously, but for quite some time all of my treatment was from the naturopath.  Under her care for a year, and while charting, I achieved completely regular cycles with ovulation.  I used MDs for b/w, u/s, and progesterone only (the P4 didn't help at all, LOL), but I received acupuncture and took herbs with help from the ND.  Thus in the end I needed much less help from my RE than it looked like I would need.  Patience was big too, but of course you know that!  Naturopaths can help a ton -- it's really quite amazing.  I wish you the very, very best!!!

  • yes, i saw one.  didn't help me get pregnant, though.  At some point, it's time to move on to to an RE.  I did IVF once, and in retrospect wouldn't have wasted all the time with acupuncture, naturopaths, ob-gyn's who didn't know what they were doing and gone straight to the RE for IVF.
