I've begun researching a bit about different parenting/discipline books, but am SO overwhelmed! Has anyone read one that they love and recommend?
I was thumbing through "Scream Free Parenting" at B&N today and am intrigued by it...I like that it suggests focusing on controlling *your* emotions first. I've also heard good things about 1-2-3 Magic and a few others....thoughts?
TIA!
Re: What parenting/discipline books have you read?
I've read Happiest Baby on the Block by Dr. Harvey Karp, which I really agreed with and everything he said worked like a charm. I am now reading Happiest Toddler on the Block and even though I'm only @100 pages in, it makes alot of sense as well. I look foward to reading the whole thing.
I have alot of mommy friends that swear by these 2 books.
The bible!
Seriously! I do love others suggestions on parenting and dicipline however, the bible shows you how to care, nuture, and love your children while you dicipline them.
Not to sound cheesy or preachy... but you asked, I answered.
I don't read any... I just try my best to be kind, patient, and understanding.
Sometimes I get myself worked up, but you ladies calm me down.

I highly, highly recommend both.
Our third addition is on their way!
