So...I decided to get Penny some dress up clothes for her birthday present. I got her a couple of headbands with flowers on them, a tutu, some cute shoes, a magic wand, and a couple of pairs of sunglasses for dress up. I got it all on clearance! Wohoo!
I figure I will add to it with wigs/hats/costumes over time.
I want to put it all into a "tickle trunk". (Mr. Dress-Up's costume box). Any thoughts on what I could buy to use for that? I would like something with a lid...There is super ugly princess toy chests at TRU for cheap but I don't want one of those in my living room:)
There is a wicker blanket chest at IKEA but I'm not sure about the wicker catching on her dress up things? And it's a little on the pricey side I think.
Re: What to use for a tickle trunk??
Yeah, that is a brilliant idea!
I think you need a super hero cape for sure...
What about this from IKEA?

I have never seen this at our IKEA...good price!!!
We have a storage ottoman coffee table (one of rectangular ones, not square), and it works perfectly! It fits a TON of stuff, actually.
Also, IKEA sells this red canvas treasure chest thing -- it is really cute, with a "lock" that velcros on. It was great, but not really durable with the babies.
