Pregnant after IF

Failed my 1-hour GTT

I was so optimistic that I would pass... but nope.  My number was 147.  I have to take the 3 hour on Saturday.  Fingers crossed I pass.

If I don't pass the whole GD thing is not the end of the world right?  Everyone IRL just talks about how awful it is and it's scares me.

Re: Failed my 1-hour GTT

  • GL!  Lots of people fail the one hour but do fine on the 3 hour.

I had GD, it wasn't that big of a deal.  I had a good cry about it when I first found out, but it really wasn't too bad.  I mean, you definitely have to keep your numbers under control, or that would be awful.  But once you get your meal plans figured out it's pretty easy to follow.  And the finger pricking is really no big deal, and I'm a major fainter.  The noise of the clicker is the worst part, the pricking really doesn't hurt.

  • I'm so sorry :( It stinks you have to take the 3-hr, but I'm hoping you pass that w/ flying colors. And if not, then you're right, GD is not the end of the world. Just a temporary situation and you'll be doing the best for you and your babies. GL on Saturday!!
