My mom let DD buy a really stupid toy...

She took DD shopping with some of her birthday money and let her buy some toy handcuffs. Tongue Tied

They're actually made of metal and come with a key, but I'm just not okay with this. Aside from the fact that DD's father is in prison, I just don't like the idea of her and DS playing "bad guys" as they like to call it and handcuffing each other.

My mom things I'm being oversensitive about it and should just let her have fun with them. I want to hide them and hope DD doesn't notice they're missing.

Who's right?

    Ugh! That would piss me off too. Maybe you could 'accidentally' run them over with your car.

    She gets to choose *regardless* of what she's been thru....SHE'S THE MOM. 

     I think it depends on what sort of scenarios they are coming up with while playing.  If she's arresting bro for eating 3 gummy bears instead of 2...sure.  If she's role-playing what she remembers about dad - not okay (obviously).
