Hi,
I'm going in for my first IVF ultrasound today, and I'm really nervous. I have Crohn's, which is well-controlled with Remicade (anti-TNF alpha). Basically, I'm feeling really nervous and a little negative about the whole IVF thing. I can't imagine how i'll feel if it doesn't work. Has anybody seen a reproductive immunologist? I was wondering if that would make sense for me since I already have a diagnosed autoimmune disorder? I know that RI's run a whole bunch of different tests, but what else do they do?
TIA!

I had preliminary testing done with SIRM which resulted in no significant issues. They have a lot of information on their website and on their BB. You may also want to look into the Beer Center, Dr Braverman, and Dr Jonathan Scher (whom my former RE recommended) which come up most often on the board.
There are others on the board with Crohn's and hopefully they have more concrete answers for you. One person that I am thinking of has consulted at Shady Grove recently and will consult at SIRM soon.

I'm curious about why you chose to go see an RI. I'd PM, but I forgot how to.
