Hello ladies! Excited to be here!
Anyone have some fun/creative ways that they're announcing to the family? I really don't want to do the "Big Brother" shirt, but I'm clear out of other ideas. Grandparents Day is coming up, and I figured that might be a good time. That's as far as I've gotten...
Re: Cute Reveal Ideas?
No cute ideas for us, unfortunately.
But when I was pregnant with the first planned pregnancy, we randomly had a photography session scheduled and so we asked the photographer to take a picture of us holding a sign that said "Look closely . . . there are 3 of us! Baby S coming early June!" and when the pictures were available for viewing, I sent the link to my family and told them to go through and let us know which ones they liked best. It was fun.

Oh, and we told my mom early with that one. We got a bib that said "I Love Grandma" and gave it to her as a gift for dogsitting for us. There was a card as well that said "I'm pregnant! EDD June 4, 2009!"
The problem was that she didn't open the card. At all. She thought the bib was cute, but despite it being a bib, she thought it was because we occasionally jokingly called her 'Grandma' to the dog, and she just completely missed the point. So I had to tell her to open the card. . . lol.

For my pregnancy in April (that ended in m/c), I told my parents at 5.5 weeks but making little onesies that said "Grandma spoils me" and "my pappy is the coolest"... and I stuff one in a pink balloon and one in a blue balloon. I wrote 1.4.2012 on the balloon and they popped them to get the onesies out. It was relaly cute and chaotic with the popping balloons and everyone was laughing - made for a great picture. We told DH's parents by putting a "big sister" shirt on the dog.
For this pregnancy, my parents were sort of expecting it be they knew I had an IUI 2 weeks ago and my mom had been asking me everyday the past 5 days if I knew anything yet. We wanted to wait a little bit longer with this one, but couldn't I wrapped a cute chrome piggy bank and tied the positive digital to it and gave it to me mom

My 101
We won't tell until at least we hear the heartbeat after our first u/s on September 27th but since we are Jewish and that date falls right around the Jewish New Year I was thinking of sending M/FIL a card and wishing them a happy new year from the 3 of us.
Oh my goodness, I LOVE this!!
We're telling my mom tonight. I bought a bib that says "Grandma give the best hugs" and I wrapped it in a gift box. We'll give it to her when she comes over. I can't wait to see her reaction. But that's the only thing we have planned. Everyone else we'll just tell the old fashioned way
My dog is my furbaby and my mother calls him her furgrandson. He is mine and DH's spoiled rotten pup. I will visit my mother on weekends, she is about an hour away, and I plan on having my dog wear "I'm going to be a big brother" t-shirt as w walk in the door. The first thing he does when he walks into her house is run around searching for her to cover her in sloppy kisses, so I will have to be quick to follow him to get her reaction. Cheesy- yes, but totally fits in, though DH doesn't like the plan, but he has no choice. He gets to tell his family however he would like! To which he said I am just going to tell them straight out.

Well, I am going to tell my husband tonight! He doesn't know yet and I don't think it will feel real until he does!
I am going to put a little onsie and the pregnancy test in the oven and say that I am cooking up something special for him and to go take a peak!!! He is going to freak!!
Thanks I don't think it is cheesy either, but I know a lot of people do! To each his own I guess I personally thing the idea of it is perfect for me! The shirt you got is very cute! I must say your dog is posed perfectly for the picture as well.
I found a coupon code for my through zazzle and paid $14 and change including shipping!
Did you use your dog in the shirt to announce your pregnancy to anyone yet?
