Can we talk about cloths..SHAMS/others what do you wear during the Day?

OK I know I am pg and I am totally in that weird in between phase where my normal cloths don't fit and my maternity stuff is too big..It's also still hot here in south fla but the weather is kind of crappy..rainy ect..it won't change until probably the end of september..

I have basically been living in leggings and tank tops when we go out to mommy and me/playdates Iove the Liz Lang ones from Target cause they are long and cover my tush)..or sweatpants and a tank top..I love the VS Pink..Yes I know kind of cheesy but so comfortable

I am thinking that I should either invest in some quality running/yoga pants..like lululemon..and some cute tops and just rotate them around. I can't see myself getting dress up for a while with a  almost18mth old and a newborn..I will be lucky if I get a shower and get to blow dry my hair and slap on some foundation to cover the bags under my eyes..

SO what do you all wear every day? AM I totally a shlump for not getting dressed??!!

  • When I am home with the girls, I wear basic tees from old navy and yoga pants (nike, north face, etc.)

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

  • I never get dressed up unless I am going somewhere. Yoga pants, shorts and T's are my staple these days. For his Y classes I may wear jeans if I am motivated.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

  • How I dress now is a bit different than when I was pg or immediately post-partum (since I BF'ed).  When I was pg & immediately post-partum in the summer, I wore tons of knit (comfy) dresses with flat sandals.  I also wore easy BF tanks with jeans, skirts, or yoga pants (definitely invest in Lululemon ones - they look better, nicer and really fit/feel amazing -- it's totally worth it, IMO).

In cooler weather, I had a couple of pair of nice maternity jeans (Gap and Citizens of Humanity) and of black pants that I wore, usually with a larger sweater (I was lucky b/c I worked for a clothing company and I was able to get samples from our PR closet in a size or two up that worked for me for later in my pregnancy) or else a tank top with a blazer over it.  I either wore flat shoes or flat riding boots.

Now, that I'm not pregnant, I usually wear a similar combo when out in warmer weather (dress or skirt) and in cooler weather, I wear jeans or some type of pants (skinny cargos or black pants) with a sweater or tank paired with a blazer.  I still pretty much wear flat shoes all the time during the day.  I don't spend a ton of time on getting ready in the morning but I do feel better when I know I look better and I love clothes so I like to pull outfits together that I feel good in and wearing.  Also, I usually have some plans during the day...nothing major although sometimes it is a lunch or coffee with other people so I like to feel ready for whatever I'm doing.

  • I wear "cute" sweats mostly.  If I think that I might see someone I know somewhere (aside from the grocery store because I'm go so much), I throw on some jeans.  I am almost always w/o makeup except for I fill in my eyebrows because I am obsessed:)

  • I love lululemon!  I have a few things from there, but wear them for working out.

I take my daughter to school 3 days a week, go to lunch with friends, playdates, etc.  I put on jeans and a cute top almost every day.

Occasionally, I'll wear more comfortable pants...but I always put my contacts in, some make up, and at least pull my hair back in a nice pony.

Today, I actually washed and dried my hair and put on a sun dress!

I like feeling like I look nice.

And this might sound terribly 50's, but I like to think that my husband appreciates coming home to someone who looks nice, versus someone in sweats.  But he has never confirmed nor denied that.

But FWIW, when I was pregnant with my twins, I was lucky if I got my contacts in.  So I get that.

THis is how I would dress ( I have some of these items..skinny jeans, tanks all be it maternity ones) but I just don't see the point in getting dressed up..Where am I going??!! hahah..!!

Also when I am going to baby class/mommy and me I do get dressed but as soon as I get home I am back in my old cloths..

I am going to go this weekend and get some lululemon..they have and outlet by me..

  • I dress up everyday.  Jeans and a nice shirt or capries and a tank.  I like to look nice you never know when you have to run somewhere or who will stop but.  I am not a fan of yoga pants I only own one pair and I only wear then to work out in.  I just don't like the feel of just being able to pull down your pants, I need buttons or a zipper :)

We have this MECA outlet/shopping mall by us..It's liek the second largest in the country and is one of south fla;s biggest touriest attractions!

THey also just opened a Tory Burch and Michale Kores outlet too! SO it's all just an exuse to shop.

  • When I was pg lots of yoga pants and long sleeve t-shirts.

If we're not leaving the house that is what I wear now too.  I have a lot of lululemon and Zella stuff that I like and I use for working out as well as wearing around the house.

If we're going out (even if it's just grocery shopping) I get ready.  My definition of "getting ready" is make up, jewlery, and something other than yoga pants and a tank top or t-shirt.  I love jeans, I'm actually kind of a jean whore.  I have a few pairs of shorts and a few summer dresses. My favorite places to shop are Nordstroms, Anthorpologie, White House/Black Market, BCBG, Max Studio, J Crew, and Target depending on what I need.  I have a hard time finding pants/shorts/skirts that fit so I do a lot of mixing and matching.

  • Summertime- shorts and a t-shirt or Capris and a T-Shirt.

Colder months- jeans and a t-shirt (long sleeve when it's cold, short sleeve when it's warmer).

I very very rarely wear yoga pants, or lounge clothes.   Even if I'm home all day and dont go anywhere, I hate feeling like a schlump.

  • While I'm on maternity leave, most days I wear leggings or yoga pants and a t-shirt or tank top. I wear a slightly cuter top (tunic, pretty t-shirt with embellishment or something) on days I have plans other than running to Buy Buy Baby or something. I wear lululemon yoga pants and leggings because they are high quality and last forever (still wearing a pair I bought in 2006) and because they are high waisted and camouflage my gut.

I might wear jeans or capris or something more if I had any that fit me - but nothing with a button/zipper fits me at all right now. :(

  • Granted I have only been a SAHM for 2 weeks but so far all I wear are yoga pants and nursing tanks! Eventually I'll have to go out and rejoin society but I refuse to buy any new clothes until I've lost the last 10lbs of pregnancy weight that's left on me.
