how long to wait?

I just saw my family doctor who confirmed my miscarriage.  She suggested waiting three cycles to try again.  Honestly, this seems excessive, given that I hadn't even hit the 5 week mark and it looks like everything has passed naturally (I have an ultrasound to confirm on Thursday).  What did your doctor's suggest?  Has anyone had success right away?  Thanks!

    My first m/c, my midwife said to wait for one AF and then try again, we did that and got pregnant after 1st AF.  That resulted in a m/c.  After this past m/c my OB told me to wait 2-3 cycles so that my endometrium was nice and spongy????  Anyway, I have gotten one AF and we are going to try, but not stress about it this cycle.  There is a nice explanation of when to start trying again at this website: https://www.pregnancyloss.info/trying_again.htm  HTH, GL!

    Most Drs will say to wait at least 1 or 2 AFs. You should talk to her again on your u/s appt.

    My dr. told me to wait 1 full cycle.

    My doctor had me me wait until after 1 regular AF.

    OB told me to wait at least 2, preferably 3 cycles. The RE however, only said to wait until after my first period and that was my body's way of being ready, basically. So this last time, we only waited one cycle.

    That seems excessive to me.  Call your OB!  I had a blighted ovum and was told I could try after my first AF.  I am sorry to hear about your loss but I hope you will stick around this board and get a bfp quickly!
