Has anyone lived there? We are PCSing November 1st and the base housing waiting list is really long and was wondering good places to live temporarly outside base.

    Married 11/27/09 and TTC right away
    Dx: Complete septate uterus with cervical duplication, endometrial polyps, PCOS, endometriosis, hypo thyroid, luteal phase defect
    4 uterus surgeries to correct my complete septum and to remove polyps and 2 years of seeing the RE, medicated cycles and IUIs
    Baby 1 and 2: BFP 3/3/11 with 2 babies EDD 11/1/11, M/C 4/6/11
    Baby #3: 8/11 pregnant EDD 4/27/11 and m/c:(
    Baby #4: 10/12/11 BFP! EDD 6/16/12m/c 10/26/11
    Baby #5: 3/13/12 BFP! EDD 11/25/12 ANOTHER m/c :(

    Baby #6: 2/14/13- BFP! EDD 10/24/13, CP 2/19/13
    Baby #7: 3/15/13- BFP! EDD 11/27/13, another CP
    Baby #8.  BFP 5/19/13 EDD 1/22/14. 8 was not our lucky number

    4th septum resection on 5/31/13.
    Baby #9: 6/29/13 BFP. C section scheduled for March 5th!

    My miracle baby was born March 5 at 9:33am. He was 8 lbs 12.5 oz and 21.25 inches long!

    Currently in Jacksonville NC.  I lived out in town in a townhouse for a year before getting on base.  We lived in the Hunter's Creek section and it was nice.  If you are looking for a townhouse I would try realtor.com but if you are looking for an apt complex I think apartments.com or forrent.com would help you out.  The newer ones [built within the last year] are called Arlington West.

    If it is Jacksonville, NC and you plan on renting DO NOT use Century 21/American properties. They will scam the crap out of you and not fix any maintenance issues. We live on base now and we love it. It took about 8 months on a waiting list to get in but it was worth the wait.

    If it is Jacksonville, NC, we live here now, and depending on the amount of children you have and what you are looking for the housing lists are shorter for some than others. We got on the list mid Jan and got our house March 31. We also live in one of the old Midway Park houses (don't get one, they are crappy, we just needed a place). My friend got a 2 bedroom on TT (a lot nicer) and she got on the list at the end of Feb and had her house mid May. 3 bedrooms take forever though. Just talk to some realtors. I can get the number for a realtor or at least her email that I heard is good, just PM me if you want it!

    If it is Jacksonville, FL  is it mayport or NAS? If you have Mayport there is not a waiting list for on base but off base military housing there is. In case you want to live off base non military housing the best place to live is off Girvin rd. If you are at NAS I have no clue about the waiting list, but move to Fleming island area. It is more expensive but better schools.
