Primal Blueprint - workin' for me, thought I'd share!

Girls -

So after a month-long plateau, I stumbled upon the Primal Blueprint by Mark Sisson. OMG it's so working for me. It's basically a way of eating that cuts out grains, legumes and processed sweets/foods.

Sounds intense, but it really hasn't been so far. My skin is AMAZING right now, my energy is great AND I've lost 7 pounds in less than a month (started at 143, now 136), and I am now losing about 1-2 pounds a week without any crazy exercise plan.

So I felt that I had to share with you ladies in case anyone is interested.

Is anyone else doing the primal thing? I'm curious.

  • I'm not, but I'm interested.  Did you get the cook book (I just looked on amazon), or does the blueprint book have some recipe examples?

  • I've actually lost 11 pounds in the last month drinking Shakeology and working out with ChaLEAN Extreme. I eat a relatively clean diet anyway.  Once you cut the crap out, I really believe your body will change in amazing ways!

I've been just looking up primal recipies on the internet. There are SOOO many good ones. A couple of must-haves for me is almond flour and coconut flour - you can make SO many things.

The Son of Grok pizza is fantastic btw. As are the coconut chicken fingers - YUM.

The thing that I really like about this diet is that it explains why many other diets fail in the long run - if you go on a calorically restrictive diet with not enough fat/protein - you lose lean mass which makes the scale look better but does nothing to make you LOOK or feel better. I'm already noticing more definition in my abs!! OMG thought I'd never see them again!
