So Monday night I went to urgent care with pain and discomfort, tested and they said I had a UTI with high levels of protein. He gave me cipro and something to ease the symptoms.

It's now Wednesday and last night I was miserable with bloat and pain.

Should I call my reg doc, shouldn't have this have started easing the symptoms?

What does high protein levels mean? Dr. Google is freaking me out.

I don't want to be the annoying girl, but damn I am uncomfortable and only got about 3 hours of sleep last night.

    So they gave you a pain killer in addition to the AB/Cipro?  If so, this should have given you relief very quickly while the Cipro did its work.  You should definitely let your Dr. know if you are still having pain.  Not to worry you, but you don't want it in your kidneys.  Not fun.  Hang in there, UTIs are the worst.

    i would def go to your regular dr. i had a uti that spread to my kidney, NOT FUN!

    so sorry you are in so much pain too, i hope you get some relief soon.

    Cipro should have taken care of it (UTI) and have you feeling better by now.  You aren't supposed to use Pyridium for longer than 2 days.  With the protein in your urine it could be from dehydration but it could also mean that the infection has worked it's way up to your kidneys.

    I would call our primary care dr, let them know that you are still feeling bad after going to urgent care.

    I was hoping a nurse would answer, I just called my OB and got in. I have to find a new primary, can not stand the one i have currently. My doc left the practice and I don't like who is left.

    Hey.  Sorry you are feeling crummy :(

    Did you ever get in to see Dr. G, where we go?  Or is that who you can't stand?

    Hope you feel better ASAP!!!
