Re: Backpack style diaper bag

  • I have the Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy Backpack... I LOVE it! I would definitely recommend the "glazed" fabric... it is easily wiped clean. Mine looks brand new! It does also have the option to convert into a shoulder bag but I've never used that option.

  • I have the Ju Ju Be Packabe, and I love mine too. I think they could make the straps more padded, and add a carrying handle but I still like it.

I got mine for 50% off on babysteals.com.

  • Babysteals is having one today that can be used as a shoulder bag and backpack.  They always have lots of pictures so you can look and see if it might work for you.  Retail on the bag is $120 and they're going to have it on for less than $50.  It will be on starting at 10am central time.  Petunia Pickle Bottom and Ju Ju Be are two popular options but they are on the expensive side.

  • I skipped the "diaper bags" and just used a real backpack.  Specifically, a backpacking one - lots of pockets and good support.  I got: https://www.rei.com/product/793755/deuter-act-trail-32-pack, and LOVE that I can open it from the top or the bottom, depending on what I want. DD loves playing with all the buckles! :)

. I have the ju ju be BFF and LOVE it! It has a mommy compartment and a matching padded diaper changing pad. Insulated side pockets for sippy cups. A little zipper compartment in front for your keys. Go to jujube.com and watch the videos. You will fall in love. I also have the be prepared bag for long trips. I wished I would've got this diaper bag when I first had ds. Oh and the straps are padded. When we were walking around Disneyland I must've had 5 people stop me to ask what kind of bag we had. Oh sorry this is jumbled I'm on an iPad

  • I have both a JuJu Be and a Vera Bradley.  The JuJu I just for when I need to pack a ton of things and the VB I use for everyday (its the smaller one).  I love both, but if I had to do it all over again, I would have gone with the Vera!  They have a large and small style and great quality.  Easy to wash and still looks nice!
  • No reason to get a special one. Just buy a backpack.
