Not PUPPS....

So, several weeks ago, I was really starting to get concerned that I was having some freak early onset PUPPS. Finally got into the dermatologist today and got the reassuring news that it isn't PUPPS... but it may as well be, because what is actually turned out to be is a major flare up of aggressive eczema.

I can't take any of the meds, because of the pregnancy, so I've been told to change lotions, knock it off with the hot showers and try to get to the pool and hope the cool weather starts soon.

Re: Not PUPPS....

  • My toddler has terrible eczema. I have found pine tar soap to be quite effective. It smells terrible but the smell doesn't linger on his skin. I wasn't able to find any in a store around here but I was able to get it on amazon. Hope you get better. I know it's terribly itchy.

  • Oh yes... I have a bar in the bathroom. My husband says it smells like bacon. LOL Thankfully, we can get it locally at Henry's.

  • I also have not PUPPs, but don't have an eczema dx either. A friend who gets terrible eczema swears by this soap, said it cleared her right up. So, my mom got it for me and it has really helped! I still get occasionally bumps/rash if I wash my hands with the wrong soap (I work in homecare and have to use patients dishsoap to wsh my hands a lot) and when I eat something I'm allergic to, but overall SO much better.

Also, after trying many different lotions, walmart's version of eucerin in the tub does not make me worse. Some suggest that putting on lotion often can help protect your skin from environmental triggers that might cause rashes.
