  I like them both.  My sister is Cara Elizabeth  (Kara with a C) and she gets called Cara Beth a lot, I think it is pretty.

  I love the sound of Karis but spelled Carys..  I think it pairs so well with the beautiful classic Anna of her sibling

  We would pronounce Kara as KARE-uh

  And yes, Karis would be pronounced like Carys. I had actually never seen the name "Carys"  until coming on here. I knew a girl a long time ago with the name spelled Karis and have always liked it. I could consider Carys tho, since that is the more correct spelling. My name starts with a K so we thought a K name would be fun since DD1 shares her first inital with DH, but not set on it.
