Grace MyRide65, but we're about to get a Sunshine Kids Radian 65SL. We weren't planning two LO's so close together, and the backseat of our vehicle is small- especially with 2 six-foot people in front. So we're getting the Radian to make room for the infant carrier, because they do NOT work together. Not unless the passenger's knees are literally against the dash.

im starting to wonder after reading this if i went too cheap with the cosco serena. all the reviews i read said it was great, except lack of pading, which can be considered a good thing. can i ask why pp's didnt go with that one? just wondering if i missed something/ made wrong decision.

I personally didn't even look at car seats that didn't sit up to 65 lbs forward facing, which the cosco only holds to 40 forward facing. I want to keep him in a car seat as long as I can before going to a booster.

The one thing I'll say is that if you're not careful the 'infant' pad has a tendency to shift around sometimes, which makes for an awkward (unsafe) fit. But, as long as you keep an eye on that you're good.

Well that is a VERY good point. I may have to rethink this. Its still in the packaging. Im glad you brought this to my attention, I want her rear facing as long as possible too. Thank you!!

This exactly. DD is already over 20 lbs, so I wanted one with a high weight capacity.
We have the My Ride 65 too. Our decision was based on the weight limits as DS is a big boy and we would like to keep him in the convertible seat as long as possible.

Mother of the year here, not considering the weight limits, and only checking safety ratings. Sometimes I think I pushed my brain out, when I delivered her. This is about as awesome as finding the gallon of milk in the pantry this morning.
Thanks so much guys, I'm definitley going to exchange.

We bought the Cosco Scenera for DH's truck which LO rarely rides in so padding wasn't an issue. I didn't think the 40lb limit was a big deal because DS was 18 lbs at a year when we bought it. He's 25lbs now and looking to be like me (a 36lb 5 year old)
This is what we got for my car (Safety 1st Air convertible) It's rear-facing up to 40lb and FF up to 65lb (well not the one in the link but the one we have). We'll get the same for DD.

The guy in the store told me height is a bigger concern than weight is because they usually outgrow the height first. I saw this first hand with our infant Chicco 30.
Re: speaking of convertable carseats..
Graco My Ride 65
Recaro ProRide - We have one in each car. Recaro made seats for race cars for years. LO seems to like the seat.
