Am I right in remembering that your DH is OOT during the entire workweek? My DH has been working really insane hours and I've been going a little nuts being totally responsible for LO ALL the time. I know it's not even comparable, but I don't know how you and military wives and others do it. I'd be tempted to be bitter, but I know he hates it too and is doing it for the good of our family.
Any tips for staying sane?

Sadly you get used to him being gone a lot. We did have a catastrophe today though, my baby swing died. Oh the horror! Now we get to try to fix it or borrow one.

We are hoping that this is temporary. He was *supposed* to be taking half days of paternity leave around this time and instead this happened. But he's a little concerned that things are just going to be like this for a while. Ugh. Thanks for the tips. I have a weekly breastfeeding support group that I'm going to start attending and I'm trying to get better at taking people up on their offers of help. I'm jealous of the first time parenting program -- it sounds really helpful.
Yikes on the swing! GL figuring something out for it soon!
