You can't beat yourself up. I failed both and have GD. I cried for a few days but I've realized it's all going to be okay. I'm not overweight, eat pretty healthy and I have it. It's truly your hormones defying you! No matter what, it will all be okay!
Don't feel bad...I have failed every 1 hour test I have taken. In fact, this time, my doc just bypassed the one hour and went straight for the 3 hour...just finished it this morning.

This This This.
I beat myself up pretty bad for a few days then finally came to terms with the fact that it wasn't my fault & that its a GOOD thing it was discovered because now I can take better care of my baby.
I've been on the GD diet now for about 3 weeks and its totally doable and way more healthy than I was eating before -- a huge plus.
Just had my first biophysical profile of the baby this morning (which I'll now be having every 2 weeks) and everything looked amazing
Anywho... lots of people fail the 1 and pass the 3. GL!
??? Baby Jane born sleeping @ 22.5 weeks ???
MY OWN NUTSHELL -- The Blog
I honestly think they just want our money! I failed the 1 hour, then had to pay the hospital $187 (I hadn't met my deductible or some BS) to take the 3 hour which I passed with flying colors. IMO - a total waste of time and money! I mean I know it's necessary to determine the health of my baby, but you would think with so many women failing the 1 hour and then passing the 3, they would come up with some other method of checking this! Grrr!
Re: Failed 1 hr glucose tolerance test
my sugar was 147. I am pretty bummed about it. I know I shouldn't beat myself up about it but alas, I am....
