Recommend your playroom floor mat/tiles

I like the Skip Hop ones but almost $80 seems kinda steep. Most of the others I see online say only appropriate for 3+. :( What do you use?

  • we got the ones from One Step Ahead.  I liked how much thicker they were than most of the other ones I saw.

  • Just a warning, Schmoodle, because I know you have cats. A friend of our gave us some and it took all of 3 minutes for one of my cats to start destroying them. :(

  • We got ours at Sam's Club.  They are much larger squares than the typical ones you see online.  They were in the office supply section.  We got 2 packs and it covered almost our entire living room floor.  Love them!

We do have a few claw holes in ours but my biggest issue with them was the obscene amount of cat hair that somehow gets trapped under them, it was truly disgusting when I picked them up.  But if I am lucky enough to have more babies I will use them again.

good point!  I laid ours out one day just for fun in our living room (the playroom isn't complete yet) and within a couple of minutes, one of our cats was trying to sharpen his claws on them!

Thanks! We're actually turning the finished portion of our basement into a playroom and the cats aren't allowed down there, so for once, they won't be able to ruin something, LOL!
