For the long weekend my whole family is going to my sister's IL's cottage and the next door cottage belongs to my aunt. There will be about 20-22 people.
Everyone is in charge of 1 meal, we have a schedule. You are in charge of planning, cooking and cleaning that one meal and then you are done for the weekend.
We got saturday night dinner.
I am making a turkey before hand, will have it all carved and it will be served cold with a greek pasta salad, a macaroni salad, coleslaw and buns. Buffet style.
We are trying to keep it relatively simple.
What do you think? Should I add anything else? Would you make gravy in case anyone wants it?
Re: Feeding 20+ people
Sounds perfect.
I say no to gravy, but that's mostly because I don't like it.
I wouldn't mess with gravy, especially if you're serving the turkey cold.
Also this post made me realize I haven't fed myself today, and now I'm starving.
This. Turkey can be pretty dry, more so if you refrigerate it before serving.

Good points and I make a mean gravy, it would be nothing to do and just heat it up and serve.
