We were chosen!!!

I am so excited to be writing this. We got the call tonight from our agency that a bm has chosen us!! She is expecting a boy and due Nov 20. They sent us all her info and we love the situation and she seems amazing! Now we have to wait all weekend to call the agency back and tell them to get everything started. So hopefully next week we can speak with the bm and (fingers crossed) be officially matched! Me and DH are beyond excited and I'm kinda still in shock I think. I can't believe we may actually have a son before the Christmas!! Praying that this works out.
After 2years TTC and 1yr,2mo waiting for an adoption match, our blessing is here!

    So happy for you!!! I can't wait to hear more and hope everything goes perfectly!
    TTC #1 since 12/07 SA 9/08=borderline normal HSG 1/09 found R tube blocked Multiple IUIs both with oral and injectible drugs from 2/09-2/11 Started domestic adoption process in 5/10, homestudy complete 9/10 Failed adoption after home with baby for 2 weeks 11/10 Blessed through the miracle of private adoption with a son, born 6/6/11 (his grandma's bday) 7lbs 9oz 20.5 inches long! So worth the wait!

    Oh Congrats.  I remember the day I got my call.  I actually received the call while grocery shopping.  I made a fool of myself by crying in the middle of an aisle with people looking at me. I hope all goes well with your meeting and I wish you all the best.

    Funny how it happens that way huh?

    We were at home. DH and I were actually kinda fighting, he hasn't been sleeping lately and was really cranky and annoying, so he was in the other room. Of course after the call we've been in wonderful moods! I'm actually surprised that I didn't cry because I cry over eveything, but I was just in shock. I seriously couldn't even process what she was saying to me and had to ask her to repeat it because I just couldn't beleive it was happening.
    This weekend is taking forever! I'm ready call the agency and get everthing going.

    I know it's gonna be along weekend.  Try to stay busy.  My adoption was finalized 2 months ago and I still in kinda in shock.  So that feeling of "Oh my gosh, I'm a mom" will last for awhile.  It's all overwhelming, but oh so worth it.  I am so happy for you guys and wish you lots of luck.  And when I heard the news in the store, I was a total cry baby and people were staring at me and when a few of them asked if I was ok I said I'm gonna be a mom and then everyone was congratulating me.  It was actually pretty sweet, how people I didn't know were so kind.  It's is funny how that kind of news changes you.  Best Wishes.

    Congrats!!!  My daughter was born on November 24th.  Know that the baby can come early like mine did so get everything done ASAP.  I had 2 pedi appointment to meet the peds and decide which one I would use the Monday and Tuesday after Thanksgiving.  Well my daughter decided to come 3 weeks early and was born the Friday after Thanksgiving so I had to choose a pedi without meeting them.  Lucky for us we chose the right one. Christmas will be so special this year.  I am so happy for you.
