I have been feeding DS 6 5oz bottles for what seems like ever. Am I supposed to be increasing ozs/decreasing the number of bottles per day? He also does 2 solids per day which are about 2oz each.

Re: For bottle feeders
My pedi said to slowly increase. If LO is not puking it up, its ok to keep going. We are actually up to 8oz, 2 solids, but of course every LO is different. Maybe try 7 for one feeding and see how DS does. I am no expert, but maybe it would keep him full a little longer to stretch your feedings out.
We are at (4) 8oz bottles a day, solids at breakfast and dinner.
I think you are suppose to be increasing volume/decreasing quantity. He should be able to go longer without a bottle at this point and take more at a time. I don't think he should be getting much more than 30 oz at this point if he's getting solids as well. Honestly I've never really done it by the book just let the LO's take what they want when they want it, the way I BF'd as well. Sorry I'm not any help.
As long as he's content and growing I think you're fine!
We've been at 5 6oz bottles (every 3 hours) for months now. I'm thinking of increasing it soon because DD is finishing them in record them and starts kicking around when it's all gone. She does still spit up at least once per bottle though, but that's a huge improvement from how much she used to spit up. I'm also trying to introduce more snacks throughout the day, She gets at least one solid meal (4 oz), a snack in the afternoon, and then either another solid meal or another snack while we eat dinner.
Edit: When I asked our pedi at 6 months, she said to let the baby decide. I know a lot of people are doing 2-3 solid feedings by now PLUS snacks, but DD just hasn't seemed that hungry until recently.
DS is give n 4 bottles daily of 8 oz...some feedings takes 4 others all 8...other weeks 8 each time, and others 4-5 each time...3 solids daily
