Anyone nesting like crazy yet?

We just bought a house and now my nesting instincts are kicking in. I spent an hour at BRU just looking at stuff. I bought a few safety things and the purple hamper I wanted for the nursery. Then I spent the evening going through my first shower's gifts looking, and folding, and arranging. I'm so anxious to paint and put everything together it's driving me crazy!

    Yes but I can't really do anything about it yet!  Baby's room is going to be DH's current spare room/office/video game room and he needs to get his crap out so I can do my thing!  If I moved it, he would have a sh!tfit, big time!  Plus I don't even know where I would put stuff except the attic, out house is a small 2 br.  We have the crib and changing table set up but that is all.

    I have had a two week hiatus from work so I have been nesting a lot! I organized closets, donated things to the salvation army, washed extra loads of laundry, made curtains for the baby's room, made lists, and so many other things.  It helps me to feel somewhat accomplished during my time off. If it would just cool down, I would transition everything from summer to fall/winter right now! I even have my autumn decorations up already....hehe.

    I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one with this issue!!! I love my BF, but he has got to get his butt in gear! We plan on switching rooms since the "spare" room has an odd configuration and he seems to think it'll be easier for him to get dressed in the morning since his clothes are already in the closet in there, but what he doesn't seem to grasp is where my clothes are going to go. I have a dresser in our current room and a small closet with my clothes. If he keeps "his" closet, where do I keep my clothes? The baby will have clothes and stuff in her closet. I guess he seems to think that since I'll be home for a while after she's born that I can just not worry about my clothes!!

    But as far as the nesting goes, I haven't gotten the urge whatsoever!! I won't have my shower until 10/23, so I have a ways to go before I can start setting things up too. Until then I'll enjoy my last few weeks of alone time :)

    It's really set in for me but in a slightly different way.  We've got the nursery painted and the crip and dresser/changer together and that's pretty much all we can do that's directly tied to LO.  The way I've been nesting is that I've had this list of projects for around the house that I've wanted to do for at least a couple of years and now we're basically taking care of as many of the inexpensive ones that we can.  A biggie for me was replacing this flourcent light that we have above our island in the kitchen with some nice pendent lights and also changing the light above our kitchen table.  Well, I now have a new light over the table and we're only a day or so from having the new lights all installed above the island.  Next up for us is painting our master bath and doing some cosmetic stuff in there.  I feel a bit bad since for some of the projects I can't really do much do to being pregenant, but I am having fun directing lol.  It'll be interseting to see what else we get done before LO comes.

    I'm slowly getting into it (having a 4yr old slows the process a bit).  Yesterday I dusted the furniture (recently assembled) and put all the baskets under the changing table.  It was nice to fill some drawers and baskets with clothing and diapers.  I'm not having a 2nd shower so I'm sorting through hand me downs and cleaning out mostly. 

    So far my big baby purchases have been a new changing table pad, baby hangers, and breastpads (lol).  Hopefully I'll find a bringing baby home from the hospital outfit soon too :-D

    You bet! I've been washing clothes, blankets and stuff like crazy, wanting to get everything into it's new home. I would love to rush out and get some more organizing things, and just be 100% ready to go for LO to arrive. I'm just sooo ready for my tiny little new love to be the final addition to the nursery!!
