Tuesday Exercise Checkin

I've got personal training today and I'll do 30 minutes of cardio. My energy is still on a pretty steady decline.  My tummy has pretty much doubled in size in the last week, and I'm finally starting to have some issues getting up out of chairs, bed, etc.  Nothing too bad, but I feel huge.  With two months left, I am a bit concerned about how huge I am going to get :)

Happy, healthy Tuesday!  Happy 31 weeks to Zooropa and Oliviosis and whoever else I might have missed.  I cannot believe it's so close!

  • Spacey - I feel the same as you.. energy decline, feeling huge etc. My doc sent me over to ER yesterday bc I fell Saturday and did not go in (who wants to go to the ER when you are trying to move, and I knew they would admit me overnight). So I spent yesterday afternoon/evening there. I got 30 minutes in today on the treadmill,  walking. My jog/walking days are done until after the baby. But the time is flying by.

  • I was pressed for time this morning...only got one mile in on the treadmill and then did back and biceps and did a good stretch. I have been waking up so tired and sore the past few mornings but the gym helps to loosen everything up. hoping to be able to continue my normal work out routine for at least another month...but agreed..my belly is starting to really get huge, i too wonder how large im really going to get.

  • I actually have this new energy boost I think because of the iron pills I'm now taking.

Last night I had an incredible workout and dragged my mom along. 30 minutes of interval cardio on the sit down bike and treadmill (ps - sit down bike has been retired as my belly is in the way of my knees..it's the "tricycle sit down" where you have a back rest). We then did lunges holding weights, dumbbell rows, bench press and "headbangers" or triceps, inner and outter thigh machine, and dumbbell "flys". Very sore but feel great.

Tonight going to walk a few miles, and do 30 minutes on the elliptical. :)

  • To be honest, I work standing up/squatting/walking around alot, so up until now I haven't exercised much (unless window shopping for a few hours counts, which apparently it does lol). But after my visit with my doc yesterday I would like to commit to walking 30 mins/day from here on out, in addition to my work. I know it will be hard for me with no energy after work, but I am gonna try my best. Today I walked about 20 mins with my dog, but only because we were trying out her new head-collar, which she wasn't too fond of. We should be able to work our way up to 30 mins no problem once she gets used to it.

Lol I feel like such a baby with my workouts compared to you ladies!

  • It was GORGEOUS out this morning so I ran 4 miles. Stopped 2 times though because some of the hills were killer.

Last night though was amazing! I went to a hip hop class and did yoga afterwards. The music the instructor chose was awesome and I had a lot of fun!

And yes, I'm starting to slow down too. It takes me longer to catch my breath.

Oh no!  Are you OK?  Did you fall while you were moving stuff?  I'm sorry you spent so much time in the ER.  I'm super stubborn and would have done the same as you if I was moving and didn't think anything was wrong.  I'm glad you seem to be doing well.

faaslarson - I had to stop using the recumbent bike awhile ago because I felt like I was bouncing my stomach (really uncomfy).  I can still use an upright bike, the elliptical and treadmill and I'm hoping to continue my workouts until my water breaks.  It does seem to loosen everything up, and I sleep better :)

  • Everything was fine. I fell because I have been having some up and down blood pressure stuff, and my potassium was low. Probably should have had more to eat, but I had just gotten up. I have to go back to the doc again tomorrow for her to check potassium, fetal stress, and bp.

I was actually going to try out the recumbant bike, but usually choose the elliptical or treadmill.
