First ultrasound!

Our first ultrasound was today!  I am six weeks.  We saw the gestational sac, yolk, fetus and the heartbeat!  We even got to hear the heartbeat, which I wasn't expecting to hear (or see!).  Wow...it's so incredible to think I have another heart beating inside of me! 

My  p4 is still really high so they are switching me to crinone instead of PIO.  Any tips on that or is it a cinch?

Stopped BCPs December 2008 TTC since June 2009 6 unsuccessful Clomid cycles Dx Annovulatory due to PCOS January 2010 DH-perfect 4 unsuccessful IUIs Began Lupron July 7 for first IVF IVF cancelled; overstimulation and coasting lead to huge drop in E2 New testing with an Endocrinologist...perhaps a new diagnosis... So, not PCOS but Hashimoto's Thyroiditis November 2010 After a looong break, started seeing a new RE. Gearing up for IVF 1.2. Beta 1=197!! BabyFruit Ticker image

    Congratulations on hearing the heartbeat!! Crinone is kinda gross I can't lie haha I'm on it for 3 more weeks. It actually gets stuck in you (gross i know) and you have to go in and get it. Don't be worried if sometimes it comes out different colors either! This is something I wasn't told till I had it come out black and then brown one day! Gross! I guess it can change a rainbow of colors and apparently it's normal (usually white and curdled though)! Other than that it hasn't really bugged me! Sorry if TMI!

    Ha!  Not TMI at all!  I appreciate the warning!  My husband was getting tired of the PIO shots (he thought it was painful for me), I wonder what he'll think of this!!

    Congratulations, that's great that you saw the heartbeat... we saw ours at 6w exactly too!  It is amazing!  :)

    My P4 was low so I was on PIO plus Crinone.  Crinone is nasty stuff, just gross.  It apparently can come out in a variety of colors, though I mainly had a white/off-white color.  Very lovely.   It's easy just gross.  lol

    I was on PIO so I don't have advice for you but good luck!

    IUI#1 - 05/20/08 = BFP! M/C - 14 weeks :( baby girl
    IUI#2 - 01/07/09 = BFP!!! Twins!! Pre-term labor 20 weeks :( lost twin girls
    IUI#3 - 1/31/10 = BFP!!!! M/C - 8wks :( again
    IVF #1 - 7/2010 = c/p
    FET - 9/2010 = another c/p
    IUI#4 - 2/14/11 = BFP!

    That first u/s is the coolest thing, isn't it? Makes it go from surrreal to real.

    Crinone in the intravaginal supplement, right? My only tip with that is don't try to use an applicator, just use your fingers and it gets easy after a few tries. Much easier than PIO.
