Gender Prediction Test...just for fun!

Hey ladies,

Also wanted to see if anyone has ever taken the Intelligender Gender Prediction Test (available at Target, Walgreens, etc)! My husband and I did it for fun (it did say a boy) but wanted to see if anyone else had taken it for fun, what were the results? Also- what is the earliest people have heard of confirming the gender. My husband and I are looking at a private session, which they said can start as early as 14 weeks. Just trying to pick your brains on fun gender stuff!

Re: Gender Prediction Test...just for fun!

  • My sister and I did them for fun with our last pregnancies.  Both tests said girl and they both ended up being right.  However, neither of us purchased anything until after the anatomy ultrasound at around 19 weeks. I know that if you've had sex within 72 hours of taking the test it is likely to give you a false boy result. I haven't decided if I want to do the test again this pregnancy or not.  Part of me thinks it would be fun and part of me knows there are other things to spend the $30 on.

  • We are doing the 3D Ultra sound to find out at 14 weeks. We have looked at the chinese gender chart. My husband is convinced its a boy. We will see!

  • I haven't taken one.  If they weren't $30 I'd take one for fun, but I feel guilty spending 30 bucks on something like that.

FWIW, I only know one person who took one (before her anatomy scan).  It said boy and was correct.

  • My best friend took one and it said boy.  She has an adorable little girl! :)
  • I took one this weekend.  I won it on a giveaway otherwise I wouldn't pay the $30 for it!  It said boy.  I guess we'll see later down the road if it is right!

  • So fun! I agree- it was a little pricey and not sure I will do it again but we had fun! Who know if is it correct...only a few more weeks and we will know!

We are also doing the 3D scan to see, but they are not able to guarantee since it is so early (14 weeks). It is my birthday gift to myself, so if it works great- if not, not a big deal! Can't wait to see what everyone is having!

All signs point to a boy in my opinion, but things like the heartbeat and Chinese calendar say girl! Just fun not really knowing!

  • I don't think I could spend $30 on it... but if it was maybe 10, I could do that for fun.

  • I purchased one, but have one more week of progesterone supplements so I have to wait 10 days after those are done to take it....I'll take the results with a grain of salt, but I thought it would be fun too :-)

You'll have to post the results...and then we can compare the actual versus the "just for fun" one!!!

  • I haven't taken it, but my SIL did and it said she was having a boy.  They now have a beautiful little girl.

  • I've read up in this test a lot and from reviews as well as straight from the Intelligender people themselves, they say if your results come back as girl it's more likely to be accurate. Whereas if its boy, its basically 50/50 chance of being right. I've also read that the Intelligender test is basically a test of your PH levels and the cabbage gender prediction test is free and supposedly also based on the idea of PH levels so you could try that instead if u don't wanna spend $30.
