Yes. Formula or BM should be their main source of food until they are 1. If your LO starts decreasing the amount they are taking I would decrease the solids, either in amount or how many times a day you are giving them. And it's also best to offer solids after they have their formula.
We were told NOT to decrease formula when we started with solids. The pedi said basically solids right now are just play/practice time, not for nutrition.
I give my LO his solids first and then either nurse him or DH gives him a bottle of breastmilk right after. He always eats and drinks it all. I'm pretty sure if I let him he would just spend all day eating. Literally.
