I feel like everyone is pushing me to get DD out of her crib.
She's just 20 months, and doesn't even try to crawl out of her crib. I feel like they should stay in the crib as long as possible. I understand when you are potty training they need to be able to get to the bathroom, but we are no where near that, i'm planning on starting the potty training when we get back from vacation in Feb- she will be 26 months then.
Thoughts?
Re: When to move to toddler bed?
We just moved Olivia this week. She is 21 months. I don't think it's necessarily a rush to do it at this age though. Do it when you're most comfortable.
We have had a few nights where she's snuck into our room, and scared me to death LOL

Jacob is nearly 2.5 and I have NO INTENTION of moving him to a bed until he's ready. As long as he's content and happy in his crib, that's where he's going to stay. In fact, I'm thinking that his college roommate will thank me for sending him to school in a crib.
We moved Aaron to a toddler bed when he was 2.5. He was just ready. He didn't climb out of his crib and he didn't even get up from the toddler bed for a couple months. It was really funny.
We had pressure from my sister too. She can be a miss know it all mom, but we do things on our own time. It drives me nuts that people think they have all the answers.
Don't rush it...don't it when you are all ready!

Robbie was about 26 months when we moved him into his toddler bed. We weren't planning on moving him this early since he wasn't crawling out, but he kept asking for a big boy bed so we moved him.
FYI - He wasn't potty trained until he was almost 3.
Good luck.
We moved G at 26m because I wanted the crib for the baby and I wanted to give him a month/two to get acclimated to a new bed/room and not feel like the baby kicked him out of the nursery.
He wasn't climbing out and moving wasn't necessary.
I don't see a reason to hurry if you have to impeding reason.
Although I will say that we went straight to a big kid bed and it was the best thing ever... cuz I can finally snuggle in bed with him.

Thanks ladies- she is staying put for as long as I can keep her in there.
Thanks for the advice on potty training- I had no idea there was day potty training and night potty training!
