Annoyed with my SIL!

Just a small vent but I'm so annoyed right now.  SIL, BIL and our nieces live in NC.  We live in Pittsburgh.  Ever since I got pregnant, my SIL has been saying how she can't wait to come up and see the baby, help out, etc.  First she was going to come up for my shower with the older of our nieces.  She backed out of that because she thought she wasn't invited. (!!??!!)  She emailed MH and I and said she didn't receive an invite and heard from my other BIL (her brother) that his girlfriend got an invite and that she understands if she wasn't invited.  Seriously, does she really think BIL's GF would be invited and she wouldn't?  And on top of that I had told her exactly when and where the shower was going to be over 2 months before that so it's not like she didn't know.

Anyway, next up she was going to come up when the baby was born.  They were "going to leave at a moment's notice".  Great!!  Totally cool - not necessary but if you want to that's fine.  Then they decided they weren't going to do that but would plan a trip over the 4th of July.  Again, cool.  Have to cancel some plans but we will be happy to see them.  They cancelled that trip for some reason too (I forget why).  Next they were going to come up over Labor Day weekend.  Again, I cancelled some plans.  I found out from FIL that they've now cancelled this trip too!!  And they didn't even tell us.  How rude!  I totally want to passive-aggressively send her a message on FB telling her how we are so looking forward to seeing them this weekend.  I won't, but man do I want to.

    sorry your SIL is all talk and no action. boo hoo!....that is annoying and disappointing....
    After 7 years of marriage and 5 unsuccessful IVFs, we have been granted the gift of adopting a baby boy, born 4/21/11.

    I would be passive aggressive ;) 

    But I know how you feel...my brother and his wife have never once come to see my son.  and they only live 3 hours away...  (They've met him, but only when I bring him to Ohio.  grr...)
