Swollen cornea......huh?

I had to run to the eye doc this am, my eye was blurry/foggy. A few minutes after she looks at it she said my cornea is swollen.....maybe I slept on my hand or something.

She wrote a script for drops to reduce the swelling, but it is sold over the counter. CVS didn't have it, so I have to go back out later and get it from Wegmans.

$45 for 10 min at eye doc + $18 for drops = me not thrilled

It is annoying but I am hoping it goes away before I can get the drops, can't wear my contacts with them. Crazy eye lady said "Just wear one contact"! lol

    sounds like it hurts....hope it heals up soon...and if you wanted to you could always rock an eye patch- pirates are in :-)

    Aw... I'm sorry! I had corneal ulcer once and it hurt like a B! Just a PSA (and I'm not saying it because my DH is an eye doc...) but ya should have a back up set of glasses :) When I was young and stupid and I used to wear my lenses for days/weeks at a time... I got that corneal ulcer. I was stuck in glasses (which I had lost ages prior) for weeks. Not only was my eye like on fire.. but then I had to buy a set of glasses on top of it.... now I always have a set of glasses just in case.

    Thanks! I do have glasses, but I am a weirdo and they make me motion sick ( the script is right). I avoid them at all costs! 

    So far this doesn't hurt, just feels a little weird and makes things blurry.

    The eye doctor told you this? REALLY? Wow.. 

    Anyway. I hope your eye is better soon!
