Thanks for your response to my post about the nine month menu!

I was wondering, what kind of oatmeal do you feed your babies?  Do you use a baby oatmeal?  I've never done that with my babies yet.

    I use Earth's Best organic oatmeal.  They LOVE it.  But they will only eat it with thawed breastmilk.  I have tried it with formula and they don't like it.

    My pedi gave me the go-ahead to start introducing whole cows milk, so I'm going to try mixing it with that in the next few weeks.

    I've given them the Earth's Best rice cereal (we didn't do too much rice cereal though - I have a whole box unopened, actually).   They eat the EB purees too.  I'll have to try the oatmeal.  Good idea on mixing it with cow's milk.  Our pedi gave us the go ahead on introducing cow's milk, as well.  He said to be careful though because they might prefer that and not want to drink breastmilk or formula then.

    I was worried about that too - so that is why I just mix it with their oatmeal.  I think maybe at 10.5-11 months I'll start giving them a bottle of the milk.

    I EBFed so I've only been buying formula for the last 4 weeks, and I am OVER it.  Ridiculous with twins. I know they need it now, but I'll be very happy when I buy my last can.

    I hear ya!  My Babies get one bottle of formula per day and the rest breastmilk. We use the Goo.d Star.t kind and it gets expensive quickly even with just one bottle of it a day! 

    Hopefully my Babies' gag reflex continues to improve too so that we can do more finger foods.  It's scary when they gag.
