Trying to Get Pregnant

Nervous.. need opinions.(update)

I had my IUD removed on August 12th. This past week I have been very nauseous in the mornings with decreased appetite. Well I haven't tried to over analyze it because until today I thought I was 7DPO (CH went away) and I was chalking it up to phantom symptoms. Yesterday, I had the worst migrane ever that made me to the point of throwing up and feel very dizzy/faint. Well it passed but I still had cramping and such last night before bed. Today, I woke again at 5 feeling just nauseous but didn't complain just watched TV and bumped a little. About 20 minutes ago I got up to walk into the kitchen and started seeing fuzzy and just fainted in the floor. I hadn't eaten, so I got up, got food and have been sitting down hoping I will feel better but then it got me wondering. Could any of this be caused by having my mirena removed? Has anyone ever had anything like this happen when coming off of any BC?

I agree with this 100%. Your doctor would be better suited to figure out if this due to the removal of your IUD or if something else is going on. I hope you feel better soon.

    This!

When you first had it removed you mentioned waking up in puddles of blood but didn't call your doctor because it slowed down after awhile. I would think that your current symptoms may be related to that heavy bleeding. You really need to call your doctor.

Now I'm starting to put together these things as well so I am waiting for my nurse to call me back. I had a missed voicemail from her today too because they did some tests while I was there and now I'm double worried.

As soon as she calls I'll update everyone. Thank you all for your help!

  • Just got a called from the OB Nurse that said when they did my pap during IUD removal, that it came back abnormal and I had to come back in two weeks for them to do a colposcopy(sp) and possibly apply acid to the cervix as well as a biopsy. She also informed me that because I was anemic, taking the prenatals would make me nauseous, headaches and possibly feeling faint. I was instructed to take them at night.

Now has anyone experienced the coloscopy or the acid/biopsy? I'm nervous. She said that if I found out between now and then if I was pregnant to call and they might decide to wait it out. It depends on what the doctor sees during the colposcopy.

  • I just had a colposcopy last Tuesday. It wasn't bad at all. The acid is a vinegar solution that they put on the cervix. My OB said that she didn't see anything, but scrapped the cervix anyway (I did not feel anything when this was done). I don't know if all OB's do that or if they only scrape/biopsy what is seen. My OB did tell me to take Motrin before coming and that their might be some cramping and spotting afterwards. GL and I hope you feel better by taking the prenatals at night.

eta: My doctor also told me that it was fine to continue to TTC through the process and that DH and I did not have to wait, but we could if we wanted to.
