Wow - DD is done nursing

We've been just nursing in the mornings for a few weeks now. Two weeks ago I saw my ob/gyn for my annual exam and he said that when we were ready to be serious about TTC #2 (meaning wanting to use interventions right away - we are) that I really needed to wean. So the process began...

And yesterday was our last day. I kind of can't believe it, but I know that it's the right time.

This morning DH got her from her crib and she asked for Mama. I went in and we sat in her room and cuddled for a few minutes. (Normally we would go to my bed and nurse.) Then she went with DH to the kitchen for a sippy of (cow's) milk. That was that!

One big up side is that I finally invested in some new bras in the right size! I don't think my boobs will ever be quite the same, but with these new bras (I got the new one from VS - the Showstopper!), they're very supported and look great!

I'm sure it's bittersweet, but I'm glad it wasn't too difficult and you have your body back, I remember that as much as I fought to nurse that was a very freeing feeling. Best of luck with TTC #2!
