I know the bottle says 0-18 months, but, honestly, I'd intended to use it forever. I wash everything in it (not just DD's stuff). But I'm wondering if I should move to something cheaper. When did you quit using a gentle/baby detergent?
We use all-natural or Free & Clear detergents, never did use Dreft. It would not be any better for DD's skin than any other fragrance-containing detergent at the store.
Same as PP's, we use All Free and Clear or homemade. I don't know about Dreft specifically, but the fragrances found in most detergents are really awful for you.
We just use the free & clear stuff for the baby's wash. I tried to just have that be our whole family detergent, but DH insists on having the scented stuff for his clothes. He wants them to "smell clean."
I never used it. I use All Free & Clear. Everything I've read and was told by my pedi says that Dreft isn't any better than using regular detergent.
Ditto this.
And just recently, I started washing more of the boys' junk in with ours so I just use All Free & Clear for everything now. Before I was just using it for theirs.
Using one thing for the little one and another for the rest doesn't make sense. You are going to cuddle/hold the little one so they are rubbing all over your detergent anyway.
We've always bought free & clear whatever, but use one for cds and we use ecover for the family stuff.

I lasted through 1 bottle which I got as a gift. I did switch to a free and clear detergent while I was pregnant so I just use that one.
I will admit that every once in a while I kinda want to buy another bottle so I can smell his clothes all day long.
I stopped after I finished the one and only bottle we bought. We switched over to a free and clear detergent after that.

When we run out I guess. MIL bought us some when we brought DS home and we've probably still got half a bottle left.
