Meet our new furbaby (NTTCALR)
Hi everyone...I wanted you lovely ladies to meet our new furbaby, Leo. We already have 4 furbabies (3 cats and 1 dog) and I was pretty adament about not having any more additions (despite how much I love them). It breaks my heart to turn any animal away, but we just can't take them all in...however, little Leo just stole our hearts, and we decided to open our home up for one more! His previous owners tied a rope around his neck and either left him to starve to death or intentionally strangeld him...the rope left deep gashes in his throat, almost to the bone! Monsters!!!!!! They also apparently kicked him in the face, because there is severe damage to one of his corneas and he no longer has vision on that side. We aren't sure how he got away, but someone found him at the end of their driveway, all curled up with severe injuries. He's on the mend now, and despite everything is the sweetest dog...he and our other dog Byron are also playing all the time, and it makes me feel even better that we adopted him because both dogs seem to be benefitting from it!
It amazes me how cruel people can be, and I truly hope those a-holes are punished in some way throughout their lives!!!

this story made me tear up. there is a special place in you know where for people who mistreat animals. thank you for saving this little soul. people like you make the world a better place

9/2011 letrozole,injectibles,and iui = BFP! edd june 2 - baby girl born at 32 weeks and 1 month in NICU...so happy to be healthy and home! 8/2012 whoa! surprise! baby boy due june 2...again!

Thanks ladies...furbabies make me so happy. My fear is that people will think I'm an irresponsible pet hoarder, and that's not the case. You should see the looks we get when we tell people we have five animals...I'm just a softie. But they are all happy and healthy. They may not have 10 acres of land to roam around on, but they are fed, walked, and cuddled daily and seem genuinely happy.
