Cutest thing your kid has done lately

I always love this post, and I actually have one today, and I'm guessing there should be lots of fun stories after a stormy weekend!   Get to it ladies! Wink

Re: Cutest thing your kid has done lately

  • I was putting Jones down for a nap yesterday and he was feeling a little slap happy.  He kept putting his hands on my face and then resting his head on them...so I did the fake snoring noise "zzzzz-shew" and he giggled.  After a few times of that, he seemed ready to lay down, so I put him in his crib and he did his usual, completely adorable routine...lay down and nuzzle his cheek on the sheet and close his eyes.  As I open the door to leave, he popped his read up and rested it on his hands like usual to watch me leave...except this time, he looked at me with a sparkle in his eyes and said "zzzz-shew" and giggled.  Sooo cute! I think it was the first time that he intentionally tried to make me laugh :)

  • Saturday night we had Jordana sleep in our bedroom because of the storm and she has a huge tree outside of her bedroom. We didn't want to chance it! Well when she woke up that morning she put her little smiling face right in my face as she huged me and said I love you mommy followed by looking over DH saying I love daddy too!

  • Mousey, that is so cute!

I feel like I'm forgetting a big one, but here are two little ones:

He's coming out with all sorts of words and phrases that amaze us lately. The other day he was climbing on the couch, and when he stood up on the arm (eek!) he said "I'm on top of the world!" Where the heck did that come from?

Sometimes when DH is being stern, he calls DS "Mister Andrew." Well, he's started calling us "Mister Daddy" and "Mister Mommy" when he doesn't want to do something. The other day I called him to sit down for dinner, and he said, "No way, Mister Mommy!" in a deep, growly voice. LOL

  • Hayden loves to play "hide" on the couch. (We put a blanket up like a tent/fort). He lays under there and says "mommy where you go?" I pop my head in and say hi. He then says "No mommy's hide". I guess he already has his boys only club as dh can "hide"

Ha!!  both of these made me giggle!!  :)
  • DD - The other day she woke up and said "You are the best mommy in the whole wide ever!"  I love that girl, she rocks!

DS - We brought him in bed with us this morning around 5am because he was fussing and neither of us were going to get up that early.  He rolled to his side to face me and put his hands on either side of my cheeks (so he was holding my face) and fell asleep that way.  He's so delicious I can't stand it!

DD & DS together - If DS is crying all I have to do is let him see DD and she knows how to calm him down and make him smile.  They make each other laugh and play together so nice.  I love how much they love each other!

  • He is starting to dance. He does the whole "Rock a Bye bear" Wiggles routine and he totally loves it - when he does the bow to your partner he really squats but it is so cute!

He also hides behind the curtain and screams "we are you"  then comes out saying Boo

A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.

  • Oh! I have another good one.

One day I was sitting on the couch and Andrew was climbing all over me, stepping on my back and getting his knees on my shoulders and in my neck, and I burst out, "Andrew, stop! You're driving me crazy!" He seemed a little upset and said, "No, I NOT driving Mommy crazy." So I apologized and got up to go play in his room. The next day, I was sitting on the couch, and he came up beside me and said with a mischievous grin, "Can I drive Mommy crazy?" before he started climbing on me again. And he's done it a few times since.

    You just gotta laugh.

  • He says "D-E-L-L, that spells Laptop" and "E-V-E-N-F-L-O, that spells Carseat".  He says it with a big grin because he is so proud of himself.  I don't have the heart to tell him that it's brand names and doesn't actually spell the object.  It's adorable.

  • We've been working on our good manners with Henry. When we are eating, if he wants more, he'll say "more please" (mo' peez); after we give him more he'll say "thank you mama" (tank you mama). The other day I sneezed and I surprizingly got a "bless you mama" (bess you mama). We haven't been teaching him that one. He must have just picked it up from observation.    Love that boy!

  • One more.  I have been baking a lot with help from DS #1.  He sits at the table and I give him the ingredients and he dumps them in and then we stir it together.  It's lots of fun.  We were making a frittata and it called for basil so I added dried basil.  I gave it to DS and he dumped it in.  When DH came up from work DS ran over to him and started listing all the things we put in.  "Eggs, Milk, and Dirt"

  • Whenever we're doing something with DS he doesn't enjoy (changing his diaper, wiping off his face, cutting his nail/hair) he starting just saying, over and over again "Are you done?  Are you done?  I done!  I done!"  I'm not sure he even takes a breath in between sentences!  He is so serious about it, but DH and I just can't help but crack up laughing at him!

  • These are all SO cute!!

A few days ago, Will dropped something and when I went to pick it up, I said uh-ohhhh! He got a really serious look on his face and said UH! And then looked like he got stuck. He hasn't figure out the ohhh sound, I guess. DH was wanting him to say it, so he started saying it anytime Will dropped something. Of course, next thing we know, Will is walking around the house, throwing things on the floor and yelling UH!! And then looking for DH to say ohhhh. Everything about that is adorable except for the purposeful throwing of stuff on the floor. I think in that department we have created a monster!
