I've finally had some time to type out most of Emma's birth story.
A hard thing to do when you've got nurses coming in and out of your
room at the hospital all the time. We were finally able to come home
yesterday evening. They kept us the full 48 hours + because my water had
been broke for almost 24 hours before Emma was born. They wanted to
make sure she didn't have an infection of some kind. She is jaundice. My
milk came in on Monday evening and started flowing Tuesday so hopefully
with good feedings and lots of diaper output it'll clear up on it's
own. The pediatrician (saw him this morning for new born baby check up)
said that we'll monitor it that way. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have some time to get on the board and be more social again. What a life changing experience.
